フィギュアスケート直接関係ないじゃん、みたいな記事からですが、羽生結弦選手の新しいキシリトールの新製品発売の記事を見つけたので紹介します。

新製品を発表するのも、映画の封切などの意味も、「特定日まで」じっと来るのをまって、その日が来たらバッと出すイメージだから、もともとの「解放する」という意味がコアになって使われている感じです。

After winning back-to-back olympic gold medals in men’s figure skating, Yuzuru Hanyu is easily one of the most recognizable faces in Japan, and with a huge devoted following, it’s not surprising that he’s the subject of heavy merchandising. The latest such merchandise comes from snack manufacturer Lotte — in the form of chewing gum!

男子フィギュアスケートでオリンピック2連覇後、羽生結弦は日本で最も知られた顔のひとつである。そして熱心なファンも多いことから、巨大な商品化計画の主役になっても驚きはない。お菓子会社のロッテからそんな最新の商品がでる。それはチューインガム！

That’s right, Lotte has just this week released the “Xylitol Hanyu Select Bottle” line of gum for those of us who can’t get enough of “Yuzu”, as the champion skater is affectionately called in Japan.

その通り、ロッテはちょうど今週「キシリトール羽生セレクトボトル」を発表した。日本で愛されて呼ばれているチャンピオンスケーターとしての「ゆづ」だけじゃ物足りない人向けの新製品のガムだ。

After Kihira’s victory, Thomas sent her a congratulatory tweet.

紀平が勝利して、トーマスはおめでとうのツイートを彼女に送った。

“Congratulations on your win today! So incredible to see in person! You interpreted my music beautifully,” Thomas wrote.

「今日は優勝おめでとう！個人的に見れてとても信じられない！あなたは私の音楽を美しく解釈してくれました」

Thomas provided a description of the inspiration for the song, which was released in 2007, on the website broadjam.com.

トーマスはbroadjam.comでこの2007年に販売されたこの曲に細かいインスピレーションを出している。
